First Monday Trade Days may be a well-known occasion in East Texas, but that does not stop millions of visitors to in the Canton area Canton to enjoy four days of the month. They are open from Thursday until Monday, preceding the day of First Monday each month, hundreds of vendors will set up shop to offer shoppers a variety of options.

What began nearly a century ago as flea markets has now become an ideal location for the latest, most thrilling, high-tech home furnishings, antiques and collectibles purchased anywhere. Over the last 150 years, many things have changed at it. Original First Monday Park; however, the genuine, intimate human interactions between vendors and consumers is the main reason why they keep returning.

These are 2021's remaining trade days. First Monday Trade Days:

September 2nd-5th

September 30th - October 3rd

October 28th-October 31st

December 2nd-5th

According to page on First Monday Trade Days website it is the oldest and most continuously operating outdoor flea markets on the United States.

According to those who are in selling on markets, concept of First Monday Trade Days started in the 1850's as the circuit judge was able to make a trip to Canton on the First Monday of every month. The entire county would visit the city for court cases. In time, residents would bring their own personal items, be it was livestock, produce or other pieces of originality, to trade or sell. In first monday canton , First Monday outgrew the town's Town Square so it was relocated to the current premises. And that was the end of it...

First Monday Trade Days is comprised of a range from private sellers. Chances are, no matter how many times you'll never be able to see everything. The flea marketplace is located in a large area that covers more than 700,00 square meters of shopping.

Attending First Monday is free, however, the majority of parking facilities surrounding the trade area charge $5 for parking
